Presently I don't have any games on my rig, just a few benchmarks. What would be some good games to start out with? What's the best place to buy them? And lastly would I need an external mouse or another display screen? Look forward to your feedback, Thanks

With those 680s you can play pretty much play anything lol
I'm sure you could use just the 18 screen but also plug into a big 50 inch lol and if you wanna play mainstream games like shooters or mmos a mouse would help lol steam is my favourite portal for games

What type of games to you like playing ? I should have asks that first lol

Lol pushing those 680s to the test with solitare how fps you getting? Lmao jk

But kinda games appeal to you like strategize games or action shooter games? Racing?

Go to steams web site it's my favourite portal to the gaming communitie and large variety of games. Steampowered.com I think it's still that. There's also other once that might suite your gaming needs but I've never tried them. Or you could go to a computer store and browse games lol. I'm sure someone else would have experience with other applications providing GameStop

Most PC Gamers have steam and this is where most people get their PC games. Games I would suggest off the bat are:

    Planetside 2 (Free to play)
    Assassins Creed series
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
    Far Cry 3
    Counter Strike: Source
    Counter Strike: Global Offensive
    Left 4 Dead 2
    Dawn of War
    League of Legends

Those are just "modern" games to list or the latest, best games in my opinion.

Civilization V - (aka, the destroyer of time, at least mine anyways :) )
Batman - Arkham City and Arkham Asylum
    Edler Scrolls 5 - Skyrim
Fallout 3 and Fallout - New Vegas
    Left for Dead 2
    Battlefield 3

I prefer valve's steam for any game that they have. some games like battlefield 3 you have to go through ea's orgin to get. very similar to steam.

You own one of the best mobile gaming rigs in the world and don't know what games to play? Um, I'm shocked. This is actually quite funny and confusing at the same time. Google "top pc games of 2012" and figure out what you like by watching game-play videos and reviews.

    Good luck.

firstly welcome to the REAL world of gaming.

there are thousands of great games out there and to be honest with your rig you can play anything on ultra settings.
of course its great to play all the latest games but as you can see by some of the above posts you have the the latest part 2 or 3 etc when it might be better for you to start at the beginning of each series to get the full story and what they are leading upto in the present day.

the best first person shooters out there worth playing are all the call of duty series and black ops. crysis, crysis warhead, crysis 2. battlefield 2 & 3 and finally the medal of honour series. the early games can be picked up very cheap now and you have started just in time for the steam christmas sale which should be starting soon.

almost forgot. i can recommend the orange box which has 5 games in it including the half life games

also take a look at some of these links

YES!!! If OP also has itchin' sound system he should also crank up teh volume. Tetris got wicked soundtrack

I would go for Steam or GOG for old games.
What genres do you like, there are a lot of good games out there, it's hard to just begin and name them all...

I ll jump on the thread to ask how is torchlight 2 compared to D3?
D3 was pretty disappointing. Maybe if it just finished at normal difficulty i would feel ok, but hitting brick wall with a head and hoping for better gear drops to advance wasnt really my definition of fun, got bad after taste so to say

Also... any rpgs worth mentioning released after skyrim?

There's a PC Gaming platform/storefront called STEAM that is going to have a Uber-Huge PC Game Sale starting tomorrow. I suggest you head over to Welcome to Steam and read up on what it is and create an account.

If you haven't played any games before other than Solitaire, you might want to try some free demos on Steam first.

    Free Demos

Also Team Fortress 2 is a lot of fun and it is completely free:

    Team Fortress 2 on Steam

Also recommend Skyrim and Civ 5, two games which provide hundreds of hours of playing time, but if you wait another week there will be an awesome cheap sale on Steam. Many games will be available for around $2 - $4.

Far Cry 3 is a must, Batman Arkham Asylum, Batman Arkham City, Prototype 1, Prototype 2, Skyrim, Saints Row 3 and The Amazing Spiderman.

There are too many great games to chose from and you will most likely end up buying more than you could ever play in a life time. Steam keeps on having sales where some titles are reduced by 75% in price, you know you will never have the time to play them but you will buy.

without sounding like an . i would google best games. look on ign.com, youtube and of course steam to see what interests you. i could name games that I thought were great you might not think so. You are prob better researching as people will just name a ton of games for you to try.
and your laptop makes me drible.
