    i have the option to get either a p4 ht with a ati 9800 or a core duo with a Gforce go 7600, Now my question is with would be better for gamming (newer games ie:fear, Battlefield, hitman blood money)?

    core duo with gefore 7600 will give much better performance

    Of the two machines you posted, the latter is superior with the Go7600.
