I own a asus laptop
specs are :
amd sempron 3000
512mb ram
40 gig hd
radeon mobility 9200 32ddr(not shared memory and i cant add system memory)
I play only 2 games ut and ut2004
ut runs perfect but ut2004 runs only @ 800by600 16 bit everything low
but i still cant play large maps and sometimes its ver
so i want to buy a new machine or upgrade my old one
these 2 machines i can get for a decent price
15.4 inch TFT WXGA Color shine (1280x800)
AMD Mobile Sempron 3200+ ( New 64bit)
NVIDIA® GeForce Go 6200 128MB TurboCache
512MB DDR 333(512x1)
80GB 5400rpm
or
Asus A6KM-Q038H, 15.4 inch TFT WXGA Color Shine (1280x800), AMD Mobile Sempron 3300+, NVIDIA® GeForce Go 7300 256MB TurboCache, 512MB DDR(512x1), 60GB,
are these 2 better than the radeon 9200??
or shall i upgrade my old machine to 1gig ram?
other option is a laptop with a radeon express 200
with 128mb memory plus shared mem
thnx for all the help

Welcome to NBR!
The option to ugrade to 1 GB will not work on your old notebook. It wont give you any better FPS at those games, because the videocard itself is already very poor.
Between those 3 machines the 7300Go is better. It is around 1.5x better then the 6200. The 6200 has 800 3dmark05, while the 7300Go has around 1300-1400. The X200M scores around 700-800.
So your best choise will be the ASUS A6KM with 7300Go. But I strongly recommend you to buy 1 bar of DDR, so you can upgrade to 1 GB. I mean not the old machine, but the new one you are going to buy.
Hope I helped you.

oke thnx for the help!
shall go for the asus then -
I play UT04 on high w/ no shadows with my spec (in my sig) which isnt too different from the A6KM and there is no lag.

Oke going to replace the hard drive from that asus with a 60 gig 7200rpm 8mb chache silent drive (standard its 60 gig 4200rpm 2mb) its an extra option
and place 512mb in the empty slot so i have than 1 gig total
that will do for now
total costs are 873,-euro
23 euro above the limit but hell -

That is a pretty good deal Shimrah,
A fast harddrive is indeed a big plus, and 1 GB of DDR makes it complete. Congratulations with your new notebook then.
