CS: Source: high settings at native resolution. Should run great.
FEAR: 1024*768 at medium settings should run fine.

I have the 1680 x 1050 True Life...and nothing...but nothing is nicer than this screen. I am currently playing Far Cry on the 1505 at full resolution with all settings on high...and it is exquisite! You won't be sorry for your purchase...

The e1505 will be great for those games listed. However, don't count on those FEAR settings to be COMPLETELY comfortable (I'm talking multiplayer fps, no stuttering, nothing under 30fps. Single player will be enjoyable enough). NFS Underground 2 will be a walk in the park and, well the higher res will only help games IF the X1400 can handle them. Go for your purchase, though you should consider looking at notebooks with an X1600.

    All the best mate!

thanks for your feedback Confused...it made me feel more secure inside...before i was havin second thoughts, i have alreadi purchased the laptop so its kinda too late to be lookin at notebooks wit x1600...but my friend who has a x1600 on his laptop told me mines is better..i don understand....i purchased the laptop for 1,255 to be exact...includin carrying case, and bluetooth technology, 100 gig hard drive...im hopin this was a good buy..

another thing is, on my old p4 1.8 ghz, 256mb ram, 80gig hd....desktop....i never got the high speed SBC YAHOO of atleast 3mb (i got the realli fast plan)...they even did a test in my area n showed i am capable of receiving atleast 3mb of file downloadin speed...but the max i ever gotten would b probably 160kb/per sec....i am hoping to achieve more with this new laptop i purchased..does anyone kno how it works? or will i be able to achieve that minimum guarantee by my dsl provider?

That is strange. I don't know why you were only able to get 160 kb/s. A new computer will likely not solve this problem because even the slowest network connection around today will easily be faster than your internet. If the internet is just as slow when you get the Dell, I'd have your ISP come out and take a look-not normal. Of course when downloading you are also dependent on what sort of connection the host uses. Computer specs generally don't impact internet speed.

lol damit i knew sometin is wron wit the internet provider...they screwed me over...bleh the onli reason i havent been complainin is that...i am satisfied wit my current speed (especially web browsing)...plus i dont dl as much anymore since i got buncha viruses now..but before my computer was as clean as new...n it never reached near 3mb...i've never even experienced dl speed of near 1mb before..LOL...when i receive my laptop in the mail next week, im gonna make a big complaint to SBC YAHOO DSL provider...they better fix my connection, tired of their supposebly minimum guarantee...
