are you sure that the one with hypermemory is gddr3, i think its ddr2

intel is better but not worth 200 Euro unless the gpu is gddr3 vs ddr2

if all specs are same go for the cheapest definitely

    IF it's GDDR3 (and I doubt it for the price) it's 256MB dedicated of GDDR3 and 256MB shared of DDR2 667 system.

For gaming, you won't see a difference, for heavy multimedia encoding, go for the intel.

IMHO, there is no way a mobile card like this will have 512MB GDDR3

I doubt Asus will release other GDDR3 2600/8600 than the G1S/G2S and W2W. Compare this one to the G1S. 300 euroes for a 8600 rather than a HD2600? me doubts

It's not surprising for the Mobility Radeon HD 2600 to have 512 MB of GDDR3 memory because they're releasing the newer desktop Radeon HD 2600XT with 512 MB of GDDR4 memory. Yes, GDDR4.

go for the intel, when they not inform about GPU it's typically a weak edition of it. You know if u were a businnes man than i doubt that you would advertise for weak card. + typically hypermemory is installed in low end and cheap laptops not the ones which come with a good gpu.

Yeah, I wasn't too bright with that one. I thought for some reason (fever :( ) it's 1440x900 notebook.
Either way it's not exactly astonishing in any way...

The 256MB GDDR4 was released at launch. It compensates for the 128bit bus since GDDR4 has 2x the bandwith of GDDR3. And it is GDDR4 2300 versus GDDR3 1400.

The games' FPS difference is pretty low. The 256MB GDDR4 2600XT still does not beat the 8600GTS

The G1S score looks off. Way above 4000.

Please stop comparing notebook cards to desktop cards, if you were around for the last two generations of notebook GPUs you'd know the opposite happened in terms of desktop vs laptop comparisons.

Shouldn't compare mobile cards to desktop cards. Desktop cards can generate much heat than mobile cards and since laptop cant take much heat, havin faster rams with lower heat helps alot in mobile department. I wouldnt be surprise if 2600xt mobility gddr4(if there is any) would be on par or even faster than the 8700M GT (depends on the coding). The only reason i can think of y it cant go any faster is becoz of the 128bit interface bus. Nvidia and ATI should really launch their next midrange with 256bit.

OK- here is the full test:
    http://www.notebookjournal.de/tests/309/1

Doesn't really look good- with 2.2GHz Turion and 512MB video RAM this notebook is slower than Toshiba A210 with Turion 1.8GHz and 256MB video in most games.

Apart from Toshiba's 3D Mark score which seems to be a driver issue ASUS has 4fps advantage in FEAR while being slower in Collin MC Rae DiRT (7fps difference) and Call of Juarez (ASUS= 9.8fps, Toshiba=14,8fps)

ASUS has been tested in more games than Toshiba so there is no full comparison but still I see no reason to spend additional 200€ on a slower notebook.
