hello, i just discovered that all my fullscreen games end up being this tiny little window in a middle of a big black screen...

i installed the newest drivers from intel.com and im not sure if that screwed up the game resolution...

i come to the forum because this is my second day with vista and its a whole new place to me compared to XP pro...

how can i fix my game resolution? in a screen of about 15.4", the game is like a 6" window...

Try adjusting the in game resolution back and forth and see if that helps.

If not, try to change the resolution of your desktop to what your game is running at and launch the game. Change the resolution in game to your liking and then quit. Change your desktop resolution to normal and then try launching the game again. This method helped me with similar issues I was having with Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.

Set you aspect ration options in your video properties to fullscreen, instead of center desktop or maintain aspect ratio

Go to your advanced display properties, and set it so that it will display in full screen rather than bordered, as allan said.

i tried that to no avail =(

even if i select center screened, it wont let me.. its been on full screen ..no border since i received it. i think its the driver problem... i updated it and before the update, everything was fine with the games...

i went to the GMA properties and its selected as full screen no border... >.<

Well, i got also the exactsame problem with starcraft and my gma 950... came here to find answers, not a reply only saying "Issue resolved"...

Peoples reading threads on forums do it 1. to help you, 2. because they have the same problem. So next time, instead of a picture of your screen, please explain how you resolved the problem to share with others in the same situation as you.

If anyone know how to fix this problem, please share your knowledge

    Thanks

I did some research and found the problem. It did not only concern starcraft but also others games.

You simply need to updates graphics drivers (availables at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx) for the latest availables. olders drivers do not support the option of stretching screen in games when the Windows resolution is set to maximum.

If you encounter problems installing new drivers, like an error message saying something like "thoses drivers are not verified", you have to uninstall the Intel media accelerator (from computer -> add/remove programs) first. This update solved my problem for starcraft and GTA san andreas.

I hope this will help you,
    Oli

ah yes, you're right, i should have given ways to resolve. but my reason is that i resolved it through another thread and gave it there... someone told me the right way... i think it was actually to uninstall the updated driver... i really forget what happened back in october but only recently have i automatically updated my computer and it seems the new update for the graphics fixed the small screen issue...

    Thanks! :)
