while browsing thru the threads here i noticed that alot of ppl with the same gpu had different bios, and had varying amounts of stability with overclocking.

how do the bios effect my gpu ? do i need to update mine? if so how do i go about doing it?

    current bios is 62.92.23.00.14

If your GPU works with your current BIOS then don't upgrade it, you could brick your laptop if done wrong and is you really only need to upgrade if you are putting in a CPU or such that isn't supported by your current BIOS. Or if you are looking to turn your GPU into a 9800M GT.

What you may be looking for is Nvidia Drivers or Dox Drivers, there are lots of different ones and they have varying performance.

Updating your vBIOS to the very latest version can increase stability / performance, depending on the changes made. While you may brick your GPU, I recommend going for it. There are guides all throughout here that explain how its done.
