I have an HP-G4 (with Radeon HD 6470M graphics card) notebook connected to a 22" Samsung 226BW external monitor through HDMI-DVI-D cable. However when i'm playing Warcraft, the display is not so crisp as it used to be when using my desktop. though playing on the notebook is just nice. HP support says they are not compatible???

Are you running at Native Resolution on the external monitor, That's probably the main reason why it doesn't look as sharp as it should.

Since it's HDMI / DVI then it's all digital so there wouldn't be any signal corruption like with analog VGA making it look a little blurry. I'd also say check that the resolution is at native.

    Yes.

You can run games at lower resolutions usually and looks decent. For a 16:10 ratio screen like yours 1280x800 is an option to run at for games. For desktop, it will still look a little "blurry".

Also if you are running some sort of overscan, it will effect the image slightly. I know in my case, I hook my laptop up to my 52 inch tv and the pixel density isn't nearly the same from my 17 inch on the lappy to the 52 inch. So it tend to look a bit less resolution, that said, it still looks crisp on my screen.

Check your display settings, and game resolution settings, im sure you'lll find it one of those.
