I was surfing the web and looking at 6990m benchmarks and decided to see how accurate they were. the 7970m got 22 fps avg with sleeping dogs on extreme while with my 6990m extreme with texture(hd) pack I get over 60 always. just about every benchmark was off and I mean by quite a bit.

note. 3dmark scores were bang on

so i was wondering how they test their games do they use 24qaa?

anyone else notice how inaccurate they are?

It's pointless to try and make a direct comparison between your results and theirs, especially between two different cards.

Every GPU that is considered "better" than the 6990m is giving under 25fps for Sleeping Dogs. I think it is safe to assume that the website and you are using some very different settings. You can check what they are using by hovering your pointers over the "Ultra" text.

Take their FPS numbers with a gigantic truckload of salt. I`ve seen some seriously wrong numbers there

If you go look up the numbers for SD on NBC, you will see that on ultra, no GPU breaks even 30. ALL of them cannot be wrong. So obviously OP is comparing different settings.

All i see now is two parties arguing and flamming each other so posts have been removed. Anything more will result in a thread lock. The OP got his answer anyways.

Most likely they use GPUs right of the box when they are about to become released. While it takes time to create drivers with better performance and specific settings per each game.
