well i recently oc'ed my cpu from 2.1 ghz to 2.4ghz, but i havent noticed anything good that came out of it, i still get the same fps, my comp doesnt seem to go any faster, and it overall still seems like im still using a 2.1 ghz cpu.i was wondering what are the noticeable benefits that come out of oc'ing your cpu.

Honestly, probably not much. Only in CPU intensive tasks will it make a difference even then it won't be much.

The best way to check for a performance difference, besides checking FPS, is to try encoding some video to check for a difference in completion time.

It helps in games like Crysis quite a bit, that and almost all RTS' will benefit, as well as GTA4 -- the ultimate CPU destroyer '08.
