I have an hp vista premium laptop that came with 97.46 drivers. a game I am trying to play, according to official site says I need the beta 101.41 to stop the flashing.

I went to the nvidea site and there are no drivers there for go7600 series, just 7800 and 7900.

So how do I get these drivers and what is best way to install them. is it even safe to install beta drivers as they suggest waiting for the official WHQL NVIDIA drivers for Vista

please help as I really want to play this game.

    what game?

hp has updated drivers, I think 97.59. Obviously not the drivers you've requested, but updates over your current nevertheless.

that driver is no good. the game is runaway 2. there is no point in updating drivers if it doesn't help with the game.

how do you update laptop drivers? do you have to remove the old ones first or just install over them?

you cant install drivers from the normal sites like nvidia/ati for laptop drivers

    you need to go to:

    http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?drivers

select your operating system and the pick which driver you fancy. click on the thread button, which will take you to a forum, where you can download the driver and a modded INF file.

download both of the files. Extract the drivers into a folder and then put the modded INF file into the same folder, and over write the old one. Then run setup

Them drivers on that site are perfectly safe.. They are simply modified to be allowed to install on a Laptop.. The Nvidia Drivers are called Unified drivers which are designed to work on all modern Nivida GPU's. The only thing that is modified is the installation file so that they will install on any machine with an nvidia gpu
