The link I posted above is from Targa computers, and they're advertising a notebook with an MXM IV GPU.

My question is, and please forgive me for I am a foolish being, is that will I be able to upgrade to a 8800 go when it is released, because Nvidia are soon to be releasing mobile cards with MXM.

Will there be any restrictions whatsoever by doing this (as in, will I have to use targa's model, if they have their own model, of MXM?)

    Thank you.
    Robert

imho i wouldn't buy a laptop from Targa computers. There are other resellers which are much more trustworthy and probably have better deals too.

its really tough to upgrade a mobile gpu, nobody knows if the 8800 will be MXM IV for that matter.

Just wanted to note that MXM Type IV is a Clevo thing, nobody else knows about this, including nVidia.

So either they have no idea what they are talking about or they are selling Clevo notebooks in which case there will only ever be an upgrade if Clevo maintains compatibility and releases it to end users.
