How much are you paying for such? We might be able to advise you better... The 8600GT or HD2600XT DDR4 are the best of those in their own ways... but, if you could say, sneak up to around 225-250$ plus shipping you might be able to snag a geforce 8800gts 320mb... which well... XD Would probobly put those all well to shame. That said your probobly aiming cheaper, in which case...

How much do you like AA on XD? The desktop HD2600 last i checked reaks at it, I imagine a little less than it used to thanks to updates, but it does. But otherwise does quite well pulling a AA and just noticeably lower overall preformance... The 8600GT is no 8800, but is all around capible and preforms nearly to par with the HD2600XT.

That said, just ignore you ever listed the GDDR3 HD2600XT, no point with its big brother.

Go with first 2600XT, it is fastest of all three (800/2200Mhz), and have a DDR4 memory.
    Also, it is ATI ;)
