Hey just wondering what you guys think...I just purchased a Lenovo t61 14.1" with a quadro nvs 140m and I was wondering if it would suffice for CAD, Creative Suites 2, and other such programs. (I can still change the order because the computer is way back ordered) No gaming just a lot of rendering...I'm a architectural engineer college student. I really don't want to get a t61p because of the steep price increase (I'm expecting as it isn't out yet.) Oh ya and i only got the 14.1" instead of a 15 or 15.4 because I have a 19" external monitor.
    Thanks for you input...

what kind of cad? 3d modelling? If so how complex? It all depends in the complexity. Also for rendering it's a good choice to have a quadro, since there's api's for some programs that have it work as an extra core (usually the rendering task is done by the CPU)

Both for sure...but I'm not quiet sure how much of each I'll be doing yet...from what I've researched and asked around the 128 will work fine for 3D CAD but if I'm looking for a performance boost then I should go with up to the 256.
