oblivion patch always fails

im experience a lag issue in oblivion, and i beleive its because of vista. My fps is ok, but every 2-3 seconds i get a frame hitch its weird. The hitch kinda reminds of ping lag in counter strike or something. I even tryed the 158.36 drivers instead of stock, and it still does it.

But when i try to patch oblivion to 1.2 from the oblivion site it says it cant find the file or it changed or sometime, so i get an error. i even tryed the uk version, still no prevail. Yet i do use the no-cd patch because im to lazy to put in a cd all the time. What gives?

 

if you have the No-CD cracked exe in the folder, the patch will fail.

thats why you should make a backup of the original EXE, rather than just overwriting it with the crack.

I always do this just for the purpose of updates and patches.

you can copy the original EXE over the cracked EXE

then the patch should work

lol, always make backups. I usually just add random crap into the old name. Like my old WoW interface folder is now something like interface.23525151

 

OMG!!!! JUST REINSTALL THE GAME!!!!!! then update it... then patch it... Put your save files in a different folder, then put them back in the correct folder after the reinstall.... Or you can get a no cd crack with the updated patch installed.
