    ok so ive heard of the grass texture mod and the ini tweaks but what settings do i change and how do i do it? cause i want to run oblivion on my laptop but i want to have over 30 fps esspecially if im running it 640x480 with nothing special on and view distance to like 20 percent... its kinda makin me mad that i cant run it with over like 15 fps out side but then inside i get 20 and if i look at a dark wall i can max at about 200

    Yea there are a lot of tweak guides out there for Oblivion, I have found this one really good though: http://www.tweakguides.com/Oblivion_1.html

    Also on your system you will need to turn shadows to off and you will need to turn grass off as well. most other settings should be mediumish. See if that makes things run smoother. The Go7400 is not a very powerful card to begin with so and with oblivion being one of the most demanding games out there, you will have to settle for a little less than you (or I) might want.

    well i got the upgraded drivers again for my video card threw hp but it lowers my fps some in css... but the weird thing is that on oblivion it helps TONS i can now run 1024x768 indoors getting like 60-80 fps with shadow filtering on.. or else it looks unaturally bright even in dark places so its hard to tell if your hiding and stuff.... but i want to turn off grass i just didnt know how
