    occasional tf2 crashes

    occasionally TF2 will crash on me, sometimes it shows the error, other times it doesnt (the error pops up behind the tf2 screen and i cant see it). Here is a screenshot of the error:

    Also, for some reason the floor in that room wasnt drawn correctly (not drawn at all as you can see). Anyone know why this keeps happening and TF2 keeps crashing?

    I have the same laptop as you, and have never seen this error before. Then again i'm playing on vista.

    Have you updated your video card drivers? Use laptopvideo2go drivers. There's a whole slew of threads on the forums about what drivers to use.

    yeah, ive tried different drivers but this one seems to be the best one for the game so far.

    another thing to note, I doubt the floor not being there has anything to do with the crash, since this happens every now and then on badwater but it doesnt crash. The crashes can happen at any time.

    Im ggoing to run a memtest to see if ive got bad memory, thats always a possibility.

    Yah I've had the floor disappear on me as well and I've never crashed.

    Disable Any Background Apps That Take Up Memory Or Are In High Use Of Memory While Playing

    there are no background apps running (other than basic ones, antivirus, logitech mouse utility thing, etc..)

    ran memtest and it checked out fine

    any other ideas?
