It was scaring the hell put of me the first few times I played it. But now it's like, I walk through the level, a zombie thing pops out, I shoot it, rinse repeat. It's not like the thing is going to pop out the mofo screen and eat me. :D

but if I play it alone at night with my sennheiser hd600 headphones.......ooo :(

I admit, I eventually used a mod (think it was called "duct tape mod" lol) to use flashlight AND a gun. Go figure.

Heh heh I tried that mod as well. But I chose to try and play the game the way it was meant to be played, well sort of. I am not sure if messing with key bindings counts? Seems more and more games are not as happy about you doing this anymore anyways. Silly console game developers. :(

Guys if u dont mind the dated graphics then try aliens vs predator 2 on the pc play as the human soldier. It is so scarry and atmospheric but play at night or dark room with head phones. The strobing lights and the motion sensor add to the effect, try it if u dare

Believe it or not, games don't need a lot of "Bling-Bling" and eye-candy , to be good ..............................or scary !

The creepiest adventure game I ever played on the PC...none of the visuals or gameplay itself are particularly disturbing...

But the story...'Mother'...the bugs...I didn't get scared playing the game...but those were some messed up dreams later on that night...

It's been almost 10 years since I've played it and the story still sticks with me...

I think there was another thread with Doom 3 vs F.E.A.R....I chose Doom 3...

And Eternal Darkness is one of the best action/adventure games (actually, one of the best games, period) for the Gamecube...one of the reasons I still leave my Gamecube connected to my entertainment system...

Yes, Eternal Darkness, i beat myself up everyday when i think of the fact that somehow i missed that game. Its too bad the studio that makes it isnt working exclusively with nintendo anymore.
