hi, just updated my laptop to windows 8 and noticed that some of my older games that ran fine when using windows 7 (even when using intergrated graphics) ran really slow when full screen. under windowed mode it runs fine, though not all games allow the windowed option

its basically the same issue as this:
My game really lags when playing Assassins Creed in Windows 8 - Microsoft Community

any ideas how to fix this? i already updated all graphics drivers, and i tried this over 2 laptops, both using nvidia and intel graphics but same result. thanks in advance

    laptops i tried:
    asus UX32VD (intel 4000 + GT620M)
    acer 3830 (intel3000 + GT540M)

Are you running them under a different resolution by accident?

now that you mentioned it, yes they are running under a lower resolution than the screen's native resolution.

but it was running fine in windows 7

That is the opposite of what I was hoping. Are you sure the GPU is being utilized?
