i have a w3j with x1600 video card and im using the lataest omega drivers. I have a external monitor plugged into it and its native resolution is 1680x1050. when its working, it looks real sharp. but it seems whenever i restart the computer, it changes to 1520x1050. in control panel > display, its still listed as 1680x1050 but whtn i open 3d control panel, it lists the monitor as 1520x1050. i dont know if its relevant but the DCC information lists my monitor as 1280x1024. how do i get my monitor to stay in 1680? thanks.

It is probably a driver issue as stated. Try using the latest Catalyst Mobility drivers from ATI, there is a link in the Upgrading Video Card Driver guide at the top of the forum.
