    i ordered a 18x r2 with 7970m xfire. it comes to 2900.

    I own a 6990m laptop

should i cancel the order or is the laptop worth it? like when do the next gpus come out?

Shouldn't you have polled this BEFORE you bought the laptop? A single 7970m is about 50-60% faster than the 6990m. 7970m in SLI (as long as drivers are up to snuff) is likely well over twice the capability of the 6990m. If the 6990m plays the games you want why upgrade? Ultimately the choice is yours.

I would stick with the 6990M until new laptops hit in 2013. There's still nothing it can't play at 1080p, so why upgrade now?
