hi guys
what are the other 'native aspect' resolutions for 1440x900
i know one is 1280x800 what are the others so i can downgrade my resolution to 'native aspects' for better viewing quality

first: in your gpu drivers settings, you should be able to set aspect ratio to native, so that if your chosen resolution doesn't fit, you get borders instead of a stretched image. i like that, espencially for old games that like 640x480 or similar.
second, hm, lets see.. 960x600 would be, 1120x700 hm.. 1152x720. 800x500.. well, none of those is really wellknown and often used.. -
Anything in the ratio 16:10. 1024x640
-
1280×800
1440×900
1680×1050
1920×1200
2560×1600
3840×2400
5120×3200
7680×4800
Thats all I can find for 16:10 "Standard"
You can put EVERYTHING that's mathematically 16:10 but some of the pixels might get weird and fuzzy because of have one pixel normally showinga black dot no you might have 2 pixels showing the black because of the non-native res. on the screen etc...
But I think maybe 640X400 ?!
Maybe thats missing I dont know...
If your trying to gain FPS in games dont lower resolution, its twice as bad as going one graphical setting down... -
haha thanks thats enough
although i think 320x200 is not included in 16:10
-
1024x640 is the only 16:10 res lower than 1280x800 you'll find included in most drivers.
-
Now, I don't mind changing the resolution at all as long as the aspect ratio remains constant. -

If you have an nvidia card, just go to:
nVidia Control Panel --> Change Flat Panel Scaling --> Use nVidia Scaling -
i prefer nvidia fixed ratio scaling, you might want to use that if you don;t mind black bars.

I guess you guys must sit really far away from your monitors because there is a VAST difference between native resolution and anything lower while gaming when it comes to clarity vs blurriness. It looks like i'm seeing the game through an incorrect pair of prescription glasses Oo. but heh, maybe i'm just too picky

For your reason, and to me Nvidia scaling still looks like crap at a lower resolution. If I drop my m860tu down to 1440x900 I can't stand to look at it. -
Definately do fixed ratio scaling if your in fullscreen. If you use a 4/3 resolution, there will be black bars on the sides, a 16/9 on a 16/10 screen, there will be black bars on the top and bottom, but it keeps the aspect ratio the same, and at least wont look streatched. The best option over all would be no scaling, but can result in black bars on ALL sides and a tiny image in the middle of the screen, but with this you do get perfect clarity.
