I know this may seem like a dumb question.. but anyways I am a bit confused with gddr2 and gddr3. I see that people overlock ddr2 8600m gt which is apparently the underclocked version. But does that mean with ddr3 there is no point in overclocking? Or can you still overclock the 8600m gt ddr3 into a even faster clock speed? anybody have any success and if so with which drivers from laptopvideo2go.com?

If you have GDDRIII you can easly overclock the 3D Card's processor, like in DDRII, but if i'm right you can't expect much more from the ram that allready have an huge frenquencies.

You can try to overclock memory too, you can't kill your card since you don't tuch voltage (like i did). If you think you found a very good stability, don't tuch voltage, if you find perfect frequencies for optimal performance, but you loose some stability you can ADD +0,1, 2 , 3 to voltage but keep in mind that voltage can quickly be very dangerous.
