    overvolting 6990m

    I downloaded winflash and RBE I changed my voltage to 1.2 however it runs at 100/150 and not the overvolted values...how do I force gaming clocks

    Try disabling and then re-enabling PowerPlay in CCC.

    i tried..no luck I think its hadware related..amd has the bios locked at 1.1v

    Weird. When I had Clevo 6970M in my laptop, I could set the voltage to my liking in RBE. I don't think 6990M and 6970M vBIOSes would differ that much.

    Try 1.15V instead of 1.20V.

    You could also try to force flash the vBIOS after editing it with RBE. Just make sure that You have a bootable USB stick with atiflash and stock vBIOS on it, in case something goes wrong.

    how do you force flash? and ill have to wait till i get paid for the usb stick..

    I tried and the you could not change the voltage on my 170HM with the 6990M it was locked. The 580M you could.
