hi, ive been interested in playing some sports games (madden 08) and some racing games (sega revo rally/nfs prostreet/etc) so i invested in a pc gamepad (the xbox360 wireless controller) -- my question is, does anyone else use this controller and culd tell me how it performs? (it was like 60 bucks!) .. im also interested in what kind of games it is compatible with?

Wrong forum, this belongs under "accessories"

Also, if you already bought one, why not try it yourself?

That said, I own one. It's a great gamepad for non-FPS titles, but a terrible flightstick/steering wheel replacement. Buy a HOTAS setup for flight-sims and/or a wheel for racing. My biggest complaint is the analog "deadzone" must be adjusted within a game and not all titles offer this adjustment.

Lastly, if you already own a 360 controller/system, you can just buy the wireless PC dongle thing for like $19 and use your 360 controller on your PC. No need to buy the same controller twice.

I use the wired controller, its the same thing really and probably easily one of the best if not the best pc game pad.

The wired is better IMO since its cheaper and no batteries ect. But the biggest reason is the wired version supports the 3rd party XBCD drivers they are 100 fold better than the stock MS drivers for the controller letting you customize every aspect of the gamepad. So for games that wouldnt normally support the controller they work 100%
