    Hi all

    i recently bought this labtop

    with spec like shown

    ASUS Z53J

    Intel Core 2 DUO T7200 2GHz
    1GB Ram 1 DIMM
    128 MB ATI RADEOn X2300
    160 GB HDD
    intel wireless 3945 abg +Bluetooth
    DvD super multi drive
    Camera 1.3 M pixel
    15.4 WXGA
    5 in 1 card reader
    4 USB port
    DVI port
    VGA port
    Mouse + Bag (ASUS)
    WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM

    ------------

the problem is that my video card is

    ATI Radeon X2300 128 MB

i know its not that much to compare to the latest video card but the quistion is

that this video card uses hyper memory to gain power to become 384 MB with a giga ram and 896 MB with 2 giga ram??

WTF why when i play unreal 3 or call of duty 4 it looks like a crap??

is it because it only uses 128 mb of its original power??

so what the benifit of hyper memory power then if it can't run these games??

help me please coz if there is no soulotion??

then how can i change my video card and what is the best one availabe that suit my labtop to work on it without any problem!!

    thank u all

Can't run the games because it's not powerful enough. Has nothing to do with amount of memory. You can't change your graphics card. Please read the stickies.

You can't change your graphics card. You're stuck with what you have.

Your graphics card is too weak for the games. Like it's been stated (and repeated): you can't upgrade that card. The only way to "upgrade" is to "upgrade" that notebook with a better card - by buying a better notebook with a gaming card.

Some laptops now have upgradeable graphics cards, yes, and it's actually remotely possible that yours is upgradeable. I believe the x1600 may be offered on that same motherboard, though I have no idea if the proper BIOS is available.

As for hypermemory, it's of very little real benefit, it merely allows games to run even if they use more memory than your card has (they won't crash due to insufficient memory).

Laptops are not like desktops, whiles "some" can be upgraded, its seldom worth the risk/cost of doing so, lesson to be learned here is to do your research before you purchase, and get something that suits your needs as is, and if you can afford it, future needs/wants.
