so i´ve been wondering why my laptop lags in games if its not in battery charger

my friend has got a laptop but he can play games with no lag still when its not in battery charger why?

my laptop has way better specs then his!

if anyone has got a solution i would be very happy!

( i have set my performance to high in powermanagement but it doesent seem to work any fix?)

He means what notebook/laptop do you possessed.
You need to give details of your notebook.
Basically, Brand and Model Name. Additionally, you can provide your laptop specifications too.

I guess the problems probably lies within the BIOS setting.
I think you should disable EIST and C1E in your BIOS setting.

    OR

    Download RMclock,
    D/L and guide, http://cpu.rightmark.org/products/rmclock.shtml
If you're using 64bits Windows, you need extra stuffs I forgot where it put already[Flipfire(a pro pro person in this forum) guide]. =.=!

Since you have an nVidia graphics card, you could try disable powermizer and see if it makes any difference. If there is no difference, then enable it again because it generally does good things.

Like I said, it generally does good things, so enable it again if there is no change in performance when on battery.

Windows Vista With SP2 is close to Win7 now.
PowerMizer Switch may not work for you becouse it disable it from registry and it can be diffrent in Win7. Also there is some drivers wich dosn't support it any more...

Strange.. After some tweaking and modifying of my Vista. I can boot-up and the desktop can be function within 45seconds.

Your powermanagement same as mine too. Luckily, rmclock override it. If not, I would suffer. XD!

DarkSilver, I know that some users dosn't like Vista. I'm not gonna say anything about it. Becouse people who does hate Vista just hate it. Let them use Win7... This is not the first issue I have seen/heard about Win7 anyway...

I saw that you said SP2 is improved and nearly matched windows 7. But I am not quite sure about it. Hope it is.
Because last time, I do install SP2 but my system slowdown. I gonna try it again(need more free time).
I also wish that SP2 or "release a new 1 SP3" could fix all problems for VISTA. I don't want vista end-up like W2k.

I understand what do you mean by "new 1 SP3". Yes, overall performance is much better. Like Boot-UP :). I installed it over clean install. That means; I installed Vista from disc (wich includes SP1) and Turned off system restore and index, then installed SP2. After SP2 finished I installed my drivers and my prorams and games to last...

No, Max Battery downclocks your CPU and GPU. It is something like power saver. You must select max performance.... Or post a screen shot, I haven't used XP on Laptops for some years now. It isin't smart like Vista :D. Vista explain each power plan

Forgot to tell you. You should check all the setting inside your max-performance selection. Urmmmm.
Enter inner core of maximal performance and select DEFAULT then click OK.
    I think it would help.

Anyway, great 9600M GT ! XD!
The XP power management, of course useless. It can't let you set your CPU speed.

This isin't worth your time, install Vista. I have just upgraded my friends XP SP3 to Vista HomePremium x86. Runs great, on high performance.
With T5600 @ 1.86GHz and GeForce Go 7300 and 1.50GB RAM. With aero enabled.

yea but because of the microsoft build in feature for vista where they say that the first few startups it will take some time that is permanent for me and many other vista users, and i need a fast startup

What you can do is to change the startup settings so Vista use both if your cores if you have dual core. Vista dosn't do this in normaly. It is easy takes about 2 sec.
You can also buy an SSD if you even want it faster :D

    Hi, I'm not at home so can't be so often online any more. But;
Make sure you are running on High Performance (PowerPlan) and yes
is right. Also download GPU-Z and make sure that your clocks are "normal". Some drivers downclock automaticly to save power and make less heat. If your GPU Clocks are normal and your CPU is running at full. Then it can maybe be your hardware but I don't think so. Also HomePremium is running much better then Ultimate. I have used ultimate for about 1 or 2 year(s) and HomePremium for ½ year.

After all the stuffs I observed here,
I noticed you tried several tricks and methods and all effort gone in vain.

So, I think the problem lies on the BIOS.
The BIOS is set locked/invisiblize some option by your laptop manufacturer.
The manufacturer gave you a Locked/Invisiblize + BUGGY(maybe they set/lock a certain FID and VID for your laptop), so, the your laptop keeps revert back to "not high performance" ever and ever again.
Bankrupt, I think your laptop company bankrupt was due to they manufactured a lot of faulty BIOS laptop and got sued. Lastly, they bankrupted.

    Solution,
You need to get in your BIOS setting by using some tricks such as cracking and hacking using some softwares.
