    Maybe it's an uncommon question but does AMD/ATI or nVidia post official an pricelist for their gpu's just like Intel does for its processors? It would be fun to know how much a mobile gpu (memory etc excluded) really cost when buying large (1ku+) quantities.

    Its probably not something readily available.

    I don't think Dell/HP/Asus would be too happy if we knew how much profit they make off charing $400 extra for a dedicated gpu....

    Well, that's what I have been thinking about. A normal 8600GT with 256 MB seems to be in the $100 range, assuming a higher cost because it's a mobile component, usage of high-density memory and added cooling I still thinks it seems very expensive to integrate a proper videocard in a laptop.
