im trying to install ntune but it tells me that i need a nforce2 or nforce3 motherboard to use the software. i recently had my mobo replaced but i thought it would be the same one. is it possible that i have an incompatible mobo now?

ok now when i try to install ntune it keeps telling me "do you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its features?" it gives me the option of ok and cancel. if i hit ok it starts to uninstall but then i get an error message "-1606 this is only valid for products that are currently installed." after that it tells me the installation was interrupted and closes. if i hit cancel it just tells me installation was interrupted and closes. ugh this is frustrating.

i had this happen to me too
what i did was i uninstalled drivers and then ran driver sweeper and ccleaner (google them)
then i installed new ones and ntune worked, idk if this will help you but it fixed my problem
btw by ntune do u mean system tools? cuz that is what i installed -
yeah im trying to install system tools but the ntune part of it wont install.
-
any update? did you fix it?
-
i still haven't fixed it. i uniinstalled drivers, ran driver sweeper/ccleaner, intalled new drivers and i still get the same mesage.
-
huh
ok go to c/nvidia and delete everything in there
then go to c/programfiles/nvidia corporation and delete ntune
then repeat my first post -
same thing still.
-
ok last idea i have
get this program from microsoft
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
install and run, on the list see if ntune is on the installed list. if it is delete using the program, then repeat all the steps from before
problem installing ntune
