    they're not the exact same..

    try 8700 drivers.. that would help

    You can change it into a 8700 in software with Riva Tuner

    people on the boards have installed 8700 drivers for the vidcard in my sig, which is also essentially the same. However, they found barely any increase in gaming performance. The only advantage seems to be that drivers for the 8700m GT are updated more frequently.

    I think it was Greg (?) who gave a description of how to do it. Would link, but without the site's search function I am too lazy to find it
