am new to Bt on laptops and its my first pc with it. i just bought a cheap gamepad to play some games,
says its 4.0 BT and my laptop has 3.0 when i first open BT and place gamepad on BTmode to be found. it finds it and it connects just fine and it works the light 1 gets solid. but if i turn the laptop off or controller it wont connect again the light on gamepad isnt solid it starts blinking like in mode to be found but on laptops BT screen it says connected. so seems it connects but as on BT settings screen says its connected but the light 1 on the gamepad isnt solid. can anyone help.?

cheap one might be a rebranded gamepad. manual is in chinesse C8 wireless bluetooth gamepad. on box says GM.BT.01 elegate.
used it last night on android and on android it connects fine solid light on led 1. on android i just turn on Bt and gamepad gets connected.

I just randomly tried this with a pair of BT headphones I have but never use on this laptop. If it "disconnect" the headphones using the bluetooth devices panel, they don't reconnect unless I do it manually.

I can turn BT off and back on again and they reconnect automatically though.

How are you disconnecting the gamepad from the pc?

Sorry I'm not sure why it just wouldn't reconnect if you turn the gamepad back on.

If you aren't manually disconnecting the device in Win 10 devices it theoretically should just work. Perhaps the keyboard shortcut Win + K is an easier way to just get to the list of devices to connect it quickly?
