question about the geforce g210m and 310m

i am thinking about the ul30 from asus..
deciding between the VT and the JT series..

the VT have core 2 and G 210m
JT have i7 and 310m

i know the cpu is better on the i7

but from what i see in nvidia.com
G210m is kind of faster then the 310m( base on nvidia)


is this true??????
as i kind of like abit faster in GPU..
(the cpu even the c2d is fast enough for what i planning..)

They are the same card. The only difference is that some G210m's use DDR2, and thus are slower than the DDR3/GDDR3 G310m's.

 

The shader clock on the G 310M is 30MHz higher, apparently. Otherwise they're virtually identical.

It's very possible that the UL30Jt does not use the G 310M, as the G 310M is limited to a maximum of 512mb of VRAM, while the UL30Jt claims 1GB of VRAM.

We're all hoping the UL30Jt has something more potent, like the GT 330M, based on that 1GB of VRAM.
