    is 128mb graphics card 8600gt enough for gaming nowadays
    and when will be out of date e.g. 1 year 2years etc.?

    Impossible to say when it willl be "out of date". That depends on you, what games you play, and how much graphical detail you're willing to sacrifice.

    Generally speaking though, it's not really enough for running most of todays games at medium detail levels. So some would say that it's outdated now. To others, it might last a couple of years still.

    If u intend to play it in lower resolutions such as WXGA than it is ok.
    However the card is far from satisfying when playin games like world in conflict or Crysis. If u want to play them at enjoyable settings you have to wait for 8800m GTX or 8800GT on desktop. And no it is really not futureproofed no GPU is futureproofed.
