    hi im just wondering would my notebook heat up fast if i play high ends games( FEAR, world of warcraft, BF2) on maxium setting

    i have dell xps m1710 2.0ghz 2gb ram 100gb hard drive nividia gtx 7900 512mb

    It'd heat up a little bit, but it wouldn't be too bad, if you're using the machine's resources like that, it's going to be expelling heat..

    It shouldn't be very bad though, pretty negligible since I assume you'll be playing on a desk or something along those lines. If it is uncomfortable to you, you may want to buy a notebook cooler, you can get some pretty good one for cheap (<$20).

    You would certainly notice it if you had it on your lap, but a machine like that probably wont spend much time there anyway.

    You have a XPS M1710, which has a great cooling solution! I have read on forums that this notebook stays very cool, even with this monster of a videocard.
