Just came out for PS3 and 360. My question is will there be any kind of split screen action on the PC?

Probably. Online mode looks killer in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. I'm definitely getting it when it comes out.

I think I will get it for PC. I've heard the release date is April 15th which is weird. I don't know why it isn't released with the console versions. I'm just hoping split screen is availabe. I hear the storyline is more developed and online has been improved. Hopefully a lot more people will be playing online this time around. RV1 didn't do so well.

You mean like split screen multiplayer?
Why would they do that on the PC? Shooters on the PC basically have one controller: mouse and keyboard. -

.
I'll take my mouse percision anyday.
Or i could be completely wrong. Idk, i'm just speculating. -
I just got it for 360....awesome game as the first one was, great online BUT serious framerate issues.
I think the 360 hardware is finally showing its age with the latest games.... they are either coded in less than HD quality (<720p/1080i) or have serious framerate issues. Cod4 was coded in some lower resolution, assassins creed, mass effect and now rb6:2 all have serious framerate issues. It's almost unbearable online where the difference between kills is affected by slowdowns.
Might pick it up for the PC if the reviews are favorable. -
Why would you want to get this game for pc? The first one was hella buggy on pc and this is probably the same way. Ubisoft does quick ports for pc users nowadays. Look at ghost recon as of late, it was better on console and don't get me started on splinter cell... It looks fun on console, but knowing Ubisoft history of 360 ports to pc, I don't think I want to buy one of their games on the pc ever again, just like EA stuff but somehow worst!

Buggy? I can't remember it being buggy for the PC? I thought the first one was bloody brilliant. Loved the use of cover etc combined with the fps aspects. Been waiting for a game like that for a long time.
i think its control system for using cover to be far superior than Gears of War. Just seems to flow more, and be easier and faster to use. Gears of War sometimes does things you don't want it to do! Plus I like realistic fps, not like Gear's where it takes an entire clip to kill a basic drone
Btw Gears of War is an excellent game, just playing through it now co-op with a friend over LAN. Very polished co-op. Hopefully alot more games will start coming out co-op, can't believe its never been done much before.
Bring on Las Vegas 2! Can't wait. -
I'm going to have to agree with Pommie, the first one was NOT buggy, I used to play it on my S96J notebook with the ati x1600 nicely, and on my X1950XT desktop, I never noticed any issues, but just wished there were more options to tweak the graphics.
CooP was just so fun! I can't wait to play it on PC again.
And about splitscreen, that's just dumb. It's an FPS, and I don't think you can plug two keyboards and two mice into a pc and have them work individually.
Also cross platform play is dumb, I would hate to hear all the people complaining who are stuck using a controller. and BECAUSE of xbox live, that will never happen, because Microsoft seems to think that everything should go only by the way they say it should, kind of like communism, but for online gamers. -
Thats just it. Controllers can't compete against keyboard + mouse combo.
-
the day a console has a dedicated mouse keyboard setup is the day i stop pc gaming (and maybe a few other things, like upgradeable GPU, but thats just blurring the line between PC and console then)
It is a great game nonetheless, the new maps are great fun, the weapons are also very good (use the p90 or m4 when you unlock them, very cheap but you can house people with them) -
I'll probably end up getting it for the Xbox 360.
-
cant wait for this for the PC.
its gonna be ninja -

Might as well put windows on it -
I wonder what the system requirements are? -
Consoles are getting too technical, they're turning into PC's, granted much simpler to operate! This isn't necessarily a bad thing, except for the cost increase. Gone are the days of me having a console for a good laugh, and playing with a mate and the PC for RTS, online intense stuff.
Nintendo hit the nail on the head, they didn't follow Sony/Microsoft, they thought back to what consoles are all about, having fun. And I have to admit, the Wii is awesome fun as a tool to have fun with all your mates. I've never seen a console be so widely excepted at a party?!
Xbox and PS3 are very nice, but I can't get used to them feeling closer to PC's than ever, but having a controller and being non-upgradable?
Sorry, got off topic here, Las Vegas 2 requirements shouldn't be that high, but you'll need a fairly modern graphics card to get decent framerates with it. -
Quick question, will the console and PC versions be different like the first one? I heard that there were variations in the gameplay, like the PC you had the nifty using cover feature, plus the fancy order giving systems. The console you couldn't give orders, just had to rely on the AI?
-
just saw some gameplay vid looks like a real nice game
-
why April 15...why?
-
5 days...anybody know any new info for PC version?
-
In other words games aren't designed for 1600dpi mice. They're designed for 200dpi thumbsticks. -
The first Vegas didn't have enough people online, hopefully the next one will.
