If your 8600M is overclocked, that would be it.
Otherwise, it sounds like a driver issue. -
it isnt overclocked, i tried downloading the 169.09 driver from laptop 2 go but it wont let me install? or is there a reason cause i thought it would support my card
-
and would it be the drivers im using
-
Sometimes this occurs when you have all the settings and resolution jacked up. Try toning down the settings and see if you have the same problems -
i tried it on med, then switched to low, same thing occured
-
either that or register your product and the downloads should happen automatically when you start the game -
ok ill try to download the patch

A couple things that hopefully fix your problems:
1. There are 6 patches released for the game. If you don't have those it might help. I think you can just DL v1.6 and it has all of them. Also get the map pack (it's free).
2. I have a desktop and 8800gts. The most recent driver that works for me is 163.75. So yeah, that's messed up.
3. Ubisoft hasn't really supported the game well and there are a lot of mulitplayer bugs still floating around. Hence the small community online. I get random crashes for no reason as does basically everyone else. Recently, the servers have been crashing alot.
Good luck and keep us updated. -
