I've overclocked my 8600 to 540/470 and before it was OK but all of a sudden when i start CS:Source the program doesn't switch clocks to 3D mode and i'm stuck with 2D clocks which give me 30 FPS in source. Why are there so many bugs in this program and how can i fix it? Closing rivatuner doesn't do the trick either.
pls help!![]()

any1 have this issue?
-
I've had it with ATI Tray Tools and I never figured it out.
Essentially, it would never automatically go into the 3D profile, and I don't know why.
Hmmmmm.......is Riva Tuner Vista compatible? Do you think it is a Vista issue? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program? Those are some things I'd try/look into.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. -
RivaTuner fully supports Vista now

ill try the reinstall thing, but there are loads of bugs in this program... like the memory clock monitor always reports the clock as 750mhz when i'm in 2D mode. Rivatuner is vista compatible, and this problem only occurs occasionally when CSS crashes (vista issue) and then i try to restart CSS and the clocks in rivatuner stay in 2d mode =/

tried reinstall, tried the 8600gt vista stuttering fixes thread... still nothing. someone help!!!!!!!
