ok well i just got my vostro 1500 with a 8600m gt video card
and i must say first thing i did was try and run crysis after itntial setup and i can truly say it was easy to run with no mods whatso ever i ran crysis ar 25-40 fps and btw anyone who thinks this is bad honestly in this game it plays sooooo smooth graphics were beatiful no choppy gameplay whatso ever in 3dmark06 i had a score of 3533 again no mods to laptop i did go to del's website and do a basic update of video driver and sound card but it played the same even right outta the box used fraps to check my fps for sure i run at 1280x800 resolution max and factory res for my laptop all settings were on high except shadows which were on low and of course no aa
these were the results on my laptop if you have any questions give me shout

Next time please use periods. Nice second post, but that is the longest run-on sentence I have ever read.
-
Ummm those are some generous FPS numbers you have there.
I have the same system as you, and even with my overclock (~4200 in 3dMark06) with Crysis at 1280x800, all medium, I don't break 30 FPS with any consistency. In fact with Fraps' min/max/avg benchmark I averaged in the low/mid 20's. -
He said no shadows , which is believable. Turning off the advanced effects I got decent 30+ fps.
-
ok first i dont care about run-on sentences soo with at outta the way i forgot i suppose to post the specs on the laptop
vostro 1500
win xp home
core 2 duo 2.0ghz
2gb ram
256 nvidia graphics card 8600m gt
dvd burner
those are the specs i remember if anyone needs help running crysis just ask maybe i can help i was truly floored when i could run the game right outta the box everyone was stating how much difficulty they had running this game even on desktops so when i could run it this well on factory specs MAN i didnt know how to handle it it was sooooo coool i guess maybe i just got lucky?? i do love this game i have played more fun games but graphicly it rocks. my system fan does kick the fan on pretty high but, nothin to be alamed about i also use a belkin usb powered laptop cooler soo no biggie -

at those settings:
because I'm getting lower FPS at 1280x720 same settings on GF 8800M GTS (score 7049 in 3DMark06).
Which is at least...strange. -
umm ok id be happy too but how do i do it like i said i average 25-40 fps depending on the enviroment in on the game but, the game is NEVER choppy or slow even with mulitple players online id love to do the screenshot thing just let know how ive only played the game like 5 time or so btw im at work soo ill have to it tommorow and post it then i dont have it at work right now

Those are desktop cards and they're not even breaking 20 FPS on high settings at 1024x768. There's simply no way the OP is getting close to the FPS he's claiming at 1280x800 on all high but shadows. -
is your card too fast or my 8800m GTX too slow? I ran the crysis benchmark and got 40.32fps, all max, low on shadows, 1280x960
-
Hmm I think you are getting some bad results there nirvana based on what I am getting on my 8600m GT which is about the the same 20~ fps
Should be a huge performance increase right? -
I ran the Crysis benchmark at 1024x768, and at max settings I was barely pulling double digit framerates (maybe 15FPS at best?), even with my GPU oc'ed. I believe yours are fine.
Mine is only playable with settings at medium and then i'll start getting 30FPS. -
At 1280x720 all max, shadows on low i got 32.5fps (GF 8800M GTS).
