I would say no based soley upon the x300 card. It is fine for business use, but is horrible for any intensive games. You want something in the x600-x700 range.

For Q4 and stuff, you might be lucky to get it running smooth at 800x600 with every setting turned to its lowest.

That's right - the notebook you posted is definitely not for gaming. The X300 is a slow card, I would go for something faster if you plan on gaming.

Quake 4 is a very demanding game - I'd look for a Radeon X700 or GeForce Go6600 card with a minimum of 128MB of video memory if you plan on playing that.

Even though you said you don't need high end graphics, keep in mind that with the X300 being as slow as it is, it isn't going to last you a very long time before you won't be able to play games anymore because you don't meet the requirements.

What country are you in? We can help you find a better notebook. :)

İm in Turkey. But the problem is that my limit is 1300dollar.İ dont think that my father will spend more. But can i upgrade the graphic card later?i thought 1 year later the x700 will be buyable for me.

İ have to buy from a special shop where i get Taxfree.
İ found an hp with X700 Ati graphic card. But it has 1.73Ghz Pentıum M and only 512mb ram. Also it costs 1450 Dollar (150dollar Too much!)

No, you can't upgrade the graphics card unfortunately.

Hm . . I'd try an Acer notebook, they have a great lineup in europe. The 5020 series might be within reach.

Make sure that the notebook has at least a Radeon X600 or GeForce Go6400 if you plan to game!

The 1 gig on the notebook you want... Do you want it so it comes with the notebook or would you simply buy it from newegg or somewhere else? Cause I think that only $1500+ pcs will have 1 gig with them

The games would run at lower settings and resolutions, but I'm not sure how enjoyable it would be.

Were you able to find any other notebooks?

In addition to the Acer 5020 series I suggested, also take a look at the Aspire 1690 series, there are some variants with a dedicated card.
