I have a 9400m 256mb shared, is there any way i can hack the shared memory to at least 512MB?
It also says "256MB dedicated, 1.3GB available" in nVIDIA control panel, but using GPU-Z and MSi afterburner monitor the mem usage cannot go past 256
is there any software that allows you to crack the system and let 512+ memory be dedicated
It's running windows btw
thanks in advance![]()

Dedicated means it is actually built onto the GPU card and is directly controlled by the GPU. There is no way to increase dedicated memory. Shared memory just means the GPU steals system memory as needed.

:/
so there's no way to increase it? -

no. on the positive side, the computer is already doing what you are describing, without any hack needed. that functionality is built in.
you can "dedicate" your computer's memory to graphics. It just does it for you. That terminology just doesn't quite fit the normal lingo. "Dedicated memory" is a term used to describe physical memory chips connected to the GPU. Your graphics card will take as much memory as it needs, since it can use your computer's memory.
shared memory hack?
