    i just put 4gb of ram in my X205 but it has a 32bit OS, so when my gfx need to shared memory well it take it from the unused 1gb or well it take it from the 3gb being used. i doubt my cards well ever need it though so its more curiosity than anything. thanks in advanced.

    It will take it from the ~3GB being used. The last 1GB of RAM that is not addressed will never never never be used.
