what do u guys think? if u rly wanted to play it and were in my position would u buy it?![]()
-
Yes even if I'll be regret after that, at least I've satisfied my eager lol provided I'm not tight on budget.
-
Yes, you will be able to run it. Not all settings max out, but even low-medium settings, the game still looks good.
I personally love GTA IV, I wish of course the bugs where all fixed, but as they say "Time heals everything", I hope that is true in this case.
If you do buy it, make sure to update to the latest drivers. I had some serious issues with my 174.16 drivers, and had to update them to the 180.84. -
does any1 know what settings for the sliders would be ideal for my system?
-
Putting everything at lowest possible still won't net you 60fps, so I can't say, that's up to you really. For the most fluent gameplay, I'd have to say all minimum, or just get it and tweak with it.
-
Does gta 4 have a bigger open world than San Andreas?
-
Hmm, I don't think so. It has 3 islands that are pretty big, but I am not sure. I don't believe it is, but I have been wrong many times.
-
Naw, the world is physically smaller than San Andreas, but much more detailed. That was Rockstar's aim with GTA IV: detail.
-
Detail and nothing else, or so it seems. I'm not even saying not to buy it, you can rent it and play it, and then buy it if you like it
-
im not not looking for 60fps even the best pcs barely can do it, most people are happily playing it somewhere around 20 to 30fps so thats what im looking for.
i wanna play like this guy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XROxOTE0rFw
he has nearly indentical specs as me except my cpu is c2d and his is just dual core and i have double his ram and my graphics card is same except i overclocked mine and he plays at 1024 X 768 at 30 FPS. i just dont know about these slider settings like shadow density and like vehcile density?
-
i know im going to like the actual game but i dont wanna buy it and have trouble running it and then waste money also i think steam does refunds for this game but i dont wanna download 16gigs. does walmart do refunds for pc games?
-
a new patch has just been released. it says it fixes a bunch of issues but i wonder if it improves performance...
-
new patch as in a 2nd one? or the just the one that was released a few days ago?
i heard it did nothing -
Should I buy it?
Will i get 35+ fps at the lowest settings?
btw why is Satyrion banned? -
Like I said before, your computer will be able to run it fine at low-medium settings. There is an auto config button, that will determine and implement what your settings should be at.
As for refunds at Walmart with PC games? No.
Only if the game is sealed in its original container, and it is un-opend, and you have the receipt.
Reason for this is because you can EASILY install the game, and then just return it for a refund.
They will however exchange it for the same game if the one you bought is damaged/does not work. -
What's the specs on your computer? Is it the one in your sig? If so, what GHz is your processor running at?
-
Yes! Core 2 Duo Mobile P7350 runs @ 2.00ghz.
-
You will be able to run it fine at low-medium. Like I said before, it has an auto config button, so just use that, it play with it.
If it's laggy, lower some stuff down, it not...crank some stuff up.
All in all, yes, you will be able to run it fine. -
Have you tried GTA 4 on yours? I guess your 8700M is a GDDR3 GPU? Mines a DDR2,did you take that into consideration when you went through my config?
-
If you own a 360 then I'd suggest getting the XBox version. If not then I suggest waiting for some major patches and/or GTA4 ends up in the bargain bin, whichever comes first.
-
PS3~ Good for Blu-Ray. Otherwise the 360 is still reportedly superior game performance wise. Either way, have fun!
-
Yes, I own GTA IV, and no, mine is a DDR2 as well. As far as I knew, the GDDR3 was for ATI?
But anyways, I don't answer questions if I don't know what I am talking about. I don't guarantee anything, I am only speaking from my knowledge, and personal experience. -
yours is gddr3, gddr4/5 are ati exclusive.
-
well there the same but ok..
i would also get it on a a console if at all possible -
i know that i can wait and see if patchs in the future make the game better but im itchin to play it and ive seen all these youtube videos of guys playing it at close to my specs nicely but i dunno if those are rare cases and that maybe in my case it will end up being nothing but a big headache
btw tank hows it runin for u? -
The first PATCH is OUT. fileplanet.com
Please someone post if performance has improved. -
Ah ok, that's where I got mixed up. Thanks for the clarification.
Runs great for me on medium settings. High settings is a bit laggy at time, so I stick to medium. But for medium, the graphics are quite good. -
No. No they're not the same. You will find upon research that the game play of what is supposedly to be identical games will play better visually and performance-wise on the 360. But this is not about which console is better. I just want fellow gamers to make the best decision within their means. Besides, overall the PC is still superior.
-
tank what are ur sliders at and did u download it thru steam?
-
Video Mode: 1440x900
Texture: Medium
Render: Medium
View: 25
Detail: 37
Vehicle: 26
Shadow: 3
For those settings, graphics are pretty nice, and I get great FPS.
And no, I have a boxed copy. (I love having boxed copy's).
should i buy gta4?
