I have heard that the Geforce 4 video card has had a lot of problems with games. I don't know which ones specifically.
-
The games might boot up and run but it will be very choppy and need to have every setting low as they can go. I wouldn't even say its going to be very playable. Well I had the same machine as you do now and it played Far Cry OK. I did return it because it was not enough to really play any games so I got the model with the better video card. So short answer, I think they will play, just not that well.

Most of the specs are good enought except for the vid card. Thats going to slow down the game.
-
Yep, that vid card will kill you, I would try to wait for the new HP/Compaq that will be coming out at the end of this month and hope for a better vid card.

It will play just not well, choppy and might freese sometimes. Just thought I'd give a bottom line for you. It is a nice system other then gaming though, I love that cpu.

you could try running in 16 bit color, instead of 24 bit color. Your eyes cant tell the difference, and it will increase gameing speed, b/c less processing needed for coloring.

i posted another thred on this before but just to be shure... is there any way at all to upgrade my gpu? i really wanna put a 256 in it
