I googled it up and people have said that Sims 2 works great with Vista, but when I tried to run it, it first says Sims 2 has known compatibility issues, but I can run it anyways and when I do, it says "Unspecified Error". Ive tried changing the compatibility mode, but that doesn't help. When Windows says I can check a solution online for the compatibility issue and I click it, nothing happens though.

Can someone tell me what I can do to get Sims 2 to run? Thanks.

Search EA for patches for the game.

I believe I got it to work. Haven't really fully tested out everything yet, but it does get the game going without any error messages. So far no one has any issues with Sims 2 on Vista that I know of, but just in case someone needs it in the future...

Can do one of two things
    1) Insert the play CD and then prompted, run setup.exe and the message may popup about compatibility issues, but run it anyways and it will.

    2) Change the compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service Pack 2), and also check "Run this program as an administrator", and it'll run.

Yeah it seems like i'm the only one with the problem cuz I went to forums and FAQS and everyone says Vista and Sims 2 work perfectly fine. Probably just me, but its all good now

You may be able to with 2 gigs of ram, but the intel graphics chip really holds you back. I would not be surprised if you could not play it.

As far as I know you can not upgrade your graphics card in a notebook, some say it is possible if you have a certian dedicated card, but since you have a intergraded card I am 99.9% sure you can not.

I do think there are some usb graphics solutions though
