Hi.
I made a config for crysis 1, it is veryhigh settings/ultrahigh settings mixed with new hdr/shadows/ssao. it runs slightly slower than veryhigh but looks much better. I own a 580m gtx and when overclocked I never drop below 30fps.
config is designed for 580m and 6990m gpus or better.
I can promise you it will look better than veryhigh settings and run roughly the same.

images aren't working...
how is it in comparison to the CCC mod/config? -
um.
compared to CCC
better shadow resolutions
better draw distance
better lighting but this is subjective to an opinion
better Level Of Detail ratio aka lods=0 (objects are at full detail at all distances)
and lastly nothing was removed to gain framerates. its literally uberhigh
edit.
ironically it runs a tiny bit faster? please dont ask how this is even possible, because i have no clue as to how increasing settings improves framerates -
Full detail at all distances sounds a bit of a waste, but I can't say without some screenshots.

yea i was expecting more of a performance hit. but it only lowered performance in some scenes by 1fps

The world shall never see the end of crisis configuration files I guess.
Anyways please take note that this person has never posted on the forums before, and his very first post contains a link to external content. -
Anyway, those shadows are way too dark and clear for my tastes, but the effort is appreciated. -

I didn't say it was a virus, simply that its generally looked down upon to join a forum and make your first post advertising to a website, a file, or a link (aka external content).
People join as many forums as they can, spam there links and never come back just to get as much free advertisement as they can.
Granted he is not a one post wonder, but the only post he has made are to continue his own thread. -
The only thing he did wrong was a technicality involving the puritanical rules of this site by hosting his file elsewhere instead of uploading it here, which is neither here nor there. -

I think we can be pragmatic about this by evaluating the file. My analysis shows that it is indeed a text file. It's fine.
something crysis 1 fans might like
