i had a inspiron e1705, core 2 duo, 7900 nvidia, 2 gigs ram, windows xp. i had several video cards fry, and since i kept my warrenty updated, i was sent a new system for absolutely free, do to the nvidia 7900's being back ordered for several months. i was sent a studio 1737, core 2 duo 2.0, 500 gig hdd, 4 gigs ram, and a radion mobility 3650, vista64. I ABSOLUTELY CAMOUT AHEAD, I AM NOT DISSAPOINTED IN THE SYSTEM ITSELF. please dont think im ungrateful, i got a super upgrade for free. dell treated me very well. but i thought i would get better performance with games than i am getting. i used the mobility modder, and installed the 3600 series desktop driver, v9.4
i installed cod4, and could not max it out. i had most everything on high, and the resoloution at 1280/800, and was getting 17-23 frames/sec during gameplay. is this normal? am i missing something? thanks for any advice

The 3650 is a middle class GPU; I'm afraid you're not going to be able to max out all games.

Your performance is pretty reasonable for what you have your settings at.
