have similar topic already but no1 is responding.so here is the deal
ill use this laptop strictly for gaming. here are the chosen 3,

    sony vaio fw510j - t6600, hd4650 512mb ddr3, 4gb ddr2 - inferior graphic?

    hp pavilion dv6-1268nr - Turion X2 Ultra ZM-82 / 2.2 GHz, hd4650 1gb gddr3, 4gb ddr2 - inferior processor, best graphics

    toshiba a505-s6992 - p7350 2.16ghz, GT 230 1GB gddr3, 4gb ddr3-best processor, worse graphics?

so my question is which is the BEST FOR GAMING out those 3?

i heard that hd4650 is underclocked in sony --true or not? if not is then sony better then those 2.i would choose HP cause better graphics but im having second thoughts cause im afraid that processor in hp is not strong enough for demanding games but has superior graphics to those 2. but then again toshiba has better processor and ddr3 but inferior graphics--dont know much about 230m

plz hlp..buying one of this 3 tomorrow

    thank you!

Although these are pretty popular notebooks none of them are serious gaming machines. You need to be looking at getting a 256 bit GPU.

However from those three listed in your post the best one would probably be the toshiba. There is very little real difference between the two GPUs, although the ATI one is stronger.

If you want to know if the Sony GPU is under clocked it would be best if you asked in the Sony forum.

And you can pretty much ignore the amount of memory as I don't think any of those cards can effectively address 1GB.

some guy said they r underclocked. well hd4650 is nicely situated at the top of the class 2. so cant be that bad. should run most of games on med-high i think.
ah so many things to consider. well if the ati in vaio is underclocked is it still stronger then gt 230m?

I imagine it is still the same, but check to see what others think.

I know that the 4650 is an under clocked 4670. I am unsure though if the 4650 in a Sony FW is under clocked further though.

it seems i cant find anywhere gpu benchmarks for gt 230m. but guess its pretty close to hd4650 since it is and upgrade from gt 130m.

toshiba is better but that hd4650 in hp is bothering me. if only toshiba had this and it would be clean shot.
