I pre ordered bioshock and payed 50 bucks for it. its realeased, but under "my games" it still says its unrealeased! what the heck? is anyone else getting this problem?
EDIT: Nevermind, if anyone else has this problem, all you have to do is restart steam, it will automaticly unlock the game when it updates.
EDIT #2: now it has to Download somthing! it says it will take an hour! It was advertised as "play when its realeased"! what is up with the wait? i finished the pre load.

try shutting steam down and run it again.
-
I tried restarting a few times, but it didn't do anything. About a minute ago I tried restarting again and now it's decrypting the files. Squee! Only a few minutes away from Bioshock goodness.

but now it has to download somthing, it says its going to take an hour! WTF, i finished the preload, it said "play as soon as its realeased"! WTF, i want to play now! what the heck is it downloading? -
WTF!!!111BBBQQQ!!!!111zzzzzzzzzzz -
). It probably leaves out a few key files (in like the game engine or something) just in case somebody decrypts it beforehand.
What's the point of having a countdown (down to the second, even!) on Steampowered.com if it takes another three or four hours to actually play the damn thing? I should've just bummed a ride from someone and bought it retail this morning...
Edit: Solution to the slow download speed (from the Steam forums):
" If your complaining about slow download speeds just do what I did...
1) EXIT STEAM
2) Go to the steam directory and delete clientregistry.blob
3) Load back up steam and login
I did this and I was downloading at 1mb just finished and now going to play."
Apparently it's a common solution. I tried it and it works, got my speeds up to ~100 KB/s instead of 30.
steam and bioshock, what the heck?
