    Hi all im new to steam and just purchased 5 games earlier. I logged in later in the day and there is a game there I didnt buy. it just says gift 2 days left. is there any way i can find out who sent it. Is it even safe if I dont know the sender.

    Any gift that says X days left is a promotion by Steam. Basically a free demo period, but the entire game is unlocked instead of just a level or two.

    There's no possible way to be gifted a virus. All the files come directly from Steam's servers.

    shattered horizon is from the people that brought you the benchmark programs 3dmark06 and vantage.
    i beta tested it and to be honest it was ok for an hour but then got boring.

    if you like space game then give it a go as its free.
    the limited time demos are just to entice you to buy another game from steam.

    don't waste ur time with it... Its badly optimised... needs a lot of performance to work.... also it is boring and has lousy graphics..
