I had one of my games missing from my steam account. the entire process has been a total nightmare. basically steam is saying I never owned the game. seeing how i have several hours in the game i know thats not the case. I just submitted some more information today but from what ive givin them they should have found it already. I think im pretty much done with steam. i will just use directtodrive. they let you download the actual install so i dont get screwed out of games. steam is seriously high if they think im paying for the game a second time. im so sick of them playing stupid like im lying and acting like i never owned it.

Yep, heard of this happening to some people.
Did you try contacting them? -
its the kings bounty pack, and to the hopefully stupid i duel boot even though there is an entire section dedicated to mac on steam.
anyway yea its kings bounty legend and armored princess. its a windows game. -

Ignore the troll. I hope it gets solved bud, Steam's customer service does leave a lot to be desired. I wish they would take a page out of EA's book on that point. Keep us posted on how it goes.
-
It's not that "Show only installed games" issue some people have is it? Might have a tab with search beside it might say "Installed" this is in the details view.
Steam has a huge customer base as well, their tech staff are very busy, but when they get to your ticket it is done fast. Took three days for an account recovery for me, stupid PSN hack had me changing passwords like mad even if they were remotely similar, and I forgot it... U@K... -
Well go to your account history and show them that you purchased it, and can we see it also? and if its not there then in fact you did not purchase the game in the first place.
-
Where's your confirmation email for the purchase?
-
Also, I know this maybe a dumb thought, but have you tried restarting your steam and then see if the game shows up in your list, because I remember dino d-day was free for a weekend and it automatically showed up on your games list. But it did not for me so I just restart my steam and there it was. -
Or just look up your bank/credit card statement
-
-
Lemme guess. A few months ago this game, kings bounty, showed up in EVERYONE'S steam account. You played the game as many people did and you had hoped you really did get away with a free game. Provide a transaction record. Should be pretty simple given that steam doesn't accept cash or check.

Gotta agree with Steam on this one. Your "played" history is not proof. -

I'm with everyone else. If you didn't pay for it, you don't own it.
Everyone now owns King's Bounty: The Legend [Archive] - Steam Users' Forums -
hes really just a part of ea and trying to ruin steam, lol nice try tho
-
a hybrid EA/Apple troll....scary son. that should be in the next starcraft game.
but ya, even if this was a legit case, steam is so retardedly cheap during promos that its kinda worth longer waits for customer service. -

Definition:
a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. -
I admit, I am a troll.
-
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
The Op has had trolls in here since he first opened the thread, and no one wants to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he did purchase them. -
Im not a complete troll i said he should show the record in his account where it shows all activations and purchases. maybe your the troll here, trying to make it off topic over a conversation about the defenition of trolling... you disgust me
-
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
-
well if the op has the confirmation email or his credit card statement steam will put the game onto his account.
-
although i do think the OP is full of bs
EDIT:
you missed 'posts consistently incorrect information' in your definition -

I love how the op never responded
-
I didnt go anywhere. it took them a few days to respond. I have other things to do then troll this website 24/7. they are saying i never purchased it. and no it wasnt a free game that was added to everyones list. I gave them both my cards and they are saying i didnt purchase it. I know i had the game so I dont know what to say. I just wont use steam anymore. its my choice. the game is not expensive. its like a 10 dollar game. i would not hassle them to try and get a free 10 dollar game. thats pointless. If i was going to try and get a game wouldnt i try a 60 dollar game not a 9.99 special. whatever. people can think what they want. i know i had the game.
-
The thing is, everyone's wondering why you don't just provide Steam with your purchase receipt e-mail. That would be the first thing I provide in this situation.
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
if you did purchase it (not just "have" it) then simply bring up the record of the purchase. it should exist in a variety of places. email and cc would be two places to check. -
Star Forge Quaggan's Creed Redux!
So before you keep spreading your ignorance on Steam, go on the e-mail account you used on Steam that you got King's Bounty on, find that confirmation e-mail and submit a complaint to Steam with that. If you deleted that e-mail or you never got one, chances are you never brought the game. You can also verify this by logging on to Steam and checking your account information to see the date that you purchased it matches the the receipt or such and if you want to cover all your tracks, check your Credit Card statement. However, just mentioning your Credit Card is not a valid Proof of Purchase. -
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
I love how everyone is so fanatical about steam. Like they have never screwed anyone over ever.
-
Star Forge Quaggan's Creed Redux!
However D2D on the other hand... I heard some bad reviews for its service.
-
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
I am just saying every thread where we talk about Origin or if someone has a problem with steam people react like we just insulted their entire family.
-
The only thing I dislike about Steam is that they take 3-5 days to respond to customer service inquiries. D2D on the other hand takes 12-24hrs, which should be standard by Steam
-
-
While the op does sound like a troll and it is indeed fishy that he didnt post his confirmation email. But you guys need to chill a bit on steam. You take wayyy too personaly if someone criticise their service, and yes to put it bluntly steam's customer service is complete utter , I expect much better service from valve. -
-
-
the first five words...
-
I am sorry if you see immaturity as ignorance, to me its not the same thing. That said I will stop here irrelevant with post come after this, because i so not want to turn this thread into a personal flame war. -
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
Alright enough with this! This is completely unnecessary whether he lied or not does not make any difference he is unhappy with steam, and he is entitled to his opinion flaming him because he is unhappy with a service is just rediculous, and should not give everyone a reason to sit here and talk crap to each other. This thread has been going nowhere and it really needs to just be closed. The constant battle about steam is honestly getting slightly ridiculous everyone is entitled to their opinions and if you don't like it then instead of flaming a person for not liking the same thing or whatever ust choose not to respond. I honestly haven't seen this much negativity about someone disliking something since I have joined this forum. From all the rants about Origins and BF3 to this it is just getting plain ridiculous and everyone needs to grow up a little. I mean honestly can't we all just be mature and respectful to each other?
-
Star Forge Quaggan's Creed Redux!
All I pointed out was the concept of Proof of Purchase and how the OP failed to utilize it properly and he or she became a bit ignorant in jumping to conclusions without utilizing correct procedures. That is all.
I personally avoided mention of Origins or BF3 in this case and I personally don't think this thread is justified to instate a debate between the two. -

I dont see immaturity as ignorance you just pointed out that me calling him ignorant was immature but also calling me ignorant in the same sentence so I just pointed out that you were calling me ignorant but also getting on to me for calling someone else ignorant -
To me it just looked like he was quoting you. He wrote what you said verbatim and used the arrow to communicate what he thought about that particular phrase in your quote.
steam complete nightmare
